Rail trolley

The Harsco Infrastructure BOSS rail trolley is a system that allows BOSS towers to be used on rail tracks. Each trolley consists of a pair of wheeled telescopic frames adjustable to accommodate both the BOSS GRP and aluminium towers.

The GRP tower is approved for use in electrically sensitive areas. The system is ideal for overhead line work and bridge or tunnel inspection and can be quickly erected and dismantled by two people. Erectors should be PASMA or CITB card holders or equivalent.

The BOSS GRP tower is an electrically and chemically inert access tower system. The rail trolley is fitted with nylon wheels for smooth running and non-conductivity making the system safe in electrical environments.

  • PAB (Plant Acceptance Body) approved
  • For use with BOSS aluminium and GRP towers
  • Cantilever applications are available
  • For platform heights up to 5.0m

For your safety

  • Each trolley is fitted with a brake and release handle which is depressed to allow movement along the rail: when in use the trolley is braked and stable
  • Equipment must not be used under live overhead line equipment or in areas equipped with live conductor rails
  • Must be used in accordance with GM/RT/Rail Group Standard 1403
